Today was a very sad day for us. Zak went to feed our dog, Galaxie, this morning but unfortunately she had died sometime during the night. It was a difficult morning, but we somehow made it to work and school. Makenzie decided to make a book about Galaxie to help her throughout the day. Zak had a few sad moments throughout the day as he shared his memories of Galaxie. Galaxie would have been 12 years old in May. I gave Galaxie to Allen the year before Zak was born. He had always wanted a dalmatian. Zak remembers how she would turn in circles until you fed her. Makenzie would go out and talk to Galaxie through the fence (Makenzie is not crazy about live animals). I remember how Galaxie walked with me each night as I walked laps around the house when I was expecting Zak. She stayed right with me. Galaxie was a great pet and we will miss her very much!

We are sorry to hear about Galaxie. It helps to share the memories. Makenzie, we want to see your book when we come home. ZAK, you gave her loving care in her old age! We are proud of both of you.
